As we say goodbye to summer, it makes sense to pause and reflect on some of the funner times had during the hot days of July and August. Sherman had to deal with an especially sultry summer in NYC and it seemed like he was constantly panting (which had the effect of locking his face in a near-constant smile).
In an effort to cool off, Sherman took the F train to Prospect Park a few times and swam in its pond. The park has a small dog beach carved out and Sherman was the undisputed King of the Beach...
(Photos by Sherman's dogmother Jessica; more photos from this afternoon can be found here).
Sherman is a beagle/american eskimo mutt living in NYC and frequenting Tompkins Square First Run. He was born on September 9, 2008. His nose is ridiculously sensitive -- to a fault -- and he follows it wherever it decides to go. The worse the smell, the better. I have certainly pulled things out of his mouth that I cannot identify to this day. After he gets a bath the fur on his rump resembles Donald Trump's hair and we have aptly named it "The Donald".
